At Naturally FUNctional Wellness, our mission is to empower children to thrive by embracing neuro-affirming values, fostering deep connections, and creating a welcoming environment where every child and family feels supported. Through transparent communication and a focus on play, we equip children and families with the skills they need to grow, love, and learn, enabling them to participate fully in the activities that bring them the most joy and meaning.
We envision a world where every child, regardless of their challenges, is empowered to be as independent as possible. By prioritizing connection, transparency, and a playful approach to therapy, we aim to create an inclusive and nurturing space that honors each child’s unique journey, helping them build the skills to flourish in all aspects of life.
What FUN Do We Offer?
Sensory Processing
We specialize in helping children with sensory processing challenges. We assess how a child interprets and responds to sensory input, such as touch, sound, and movement, and create personalized therapy plans to improve their ability to process and integrate these sensations.
We focus on helping children strengthen their executive functioning skills, essential for planning, organization, time management, and self-regulation. We work with children to develop strategies that improve their ability to complete tasks, manage routines, and stay focused.
We help children develop and improve their visual-motor skills, which are crucial for handwriting, cutting, and drawing. We use targeted exercises and FUN activities to enhance the coordination between what a child sees and how they move their hands.
We focus on enhancing fine motor coordination, which is essential for tasks like buttoning, writing, and feeding. We work with children through engaging, hands-on activities that strengthen the small muscles in their hands and fingers, improving their dexterity and control.
We help children develop the skills needed to perform activities of daily living (ADLs) such as dressing, eating, and grooming. We tailor interventions to each child's unique needs, working directly in their home environment to teach practical techniques that promote independence.
We work with children to develop and refine their gross motor skills, which are essential for activities like walking, jumping, and climbing. We use fun, movement-based exercises that strengthen the large muscle groups, improving balance, coordination, and overall body awareness.
We support adolescents with intellectual and developmental disabilities as they transition from school to work. We focus on developing the skills they need for success in the workplace, such as time management, organization, communication, and task completion.
